A portion of every program's revenue supports emergency funds for trafficking survivors. You do not need to be a survivor of sex trafficking or abuse to take part — this program is for any woman ready to build her own safety and confidence.
This program is for women who are ready to make a meaningful change in their lives, women who want practical tools for safety, confidence, and personal growth. It's especially for women who are willing to learn, reflect, and take action, not from a place of fear, but from a place of strength.
At its core, Disruptor Defense exists to help women build greater awareness, stronger boundaries, and more confidence in the face of abuse, domestic violence, sexual violence, trafficking, and other forms of harm. Safety isn't only physical; it's emotional, relational, mental, and actionary. Through classroom learning, embodied practice, physical training, and vision-focused reflection, you'll gain tools to move through the world more safely and intentionally.
Who is Disruptor Defense for?
The goal isn't only prevention; it's transformation. You'll leave with more clarity, courage, and capacity to make choices that support your safety, your well-being, and your future.
The curriculum addresses several interconnected issues: situational awareness, domestic violence awareness, abuse prevention, boundary setting, trafficking prevention, self-defense, firearms familiarity, and personal disruption as a catalyst for growth. We also connect safety and self-protection to vision, purpose, and your next actionable steps.
The learning environment itself is built around women's experiences, safety, and empowerment, so you can practice, reflect, and ask honest questions without feeling performative or intimidated.
What You'll Walk Away Knowing
Recognizing patterns before harm escalates.
You'll be able to identify common patterns of abuse, grooming, coercive control, and trafficking-related manipulation — in dating, marriage, separation, divorce, work, and online communication. You'll understand that abuse is far more likely to come from someone known and trusted than from a stranger, and you'll recognize early warning signs sooner.
You'll build foundational body-awareness and self-defense skills — including hold escapes, hip movement, collar chokes, and leverage-based techniques that support body autonomy to escape from control. You'll leave understanding how to use structure, position, and movement to create space, disrupt control, and get to safety, without needing to become a fighter.
You will also practice using your voice, standing your ground, and walking with confidence.
Time on the mat.
Reading behavior with sharper judgment.
You'll gain practical tools for spotting red flags in dating apps, direct messages, workplace interactions, and everyday situations — reading intent, noticing inconsistency, and rejecting any notion that women should tolerate objectification or diminishment.
You'll get comfortable with the sound of gunfire and learn firearms safety fundamentals, including situational awareness. You'll learn to identify the parts of a gun, determine if it's loaded, safely load and unload, rack, shoot, hold a proper stance, and manage trigger control. We'll also discuss active-shooter response thinking and the role of firearms within a broader personal safety plan. Because firearms and domestic violence are a high-risk combination, this section is taught with clear safety rules and trauma-informed care.
Time at the range.
Understanding cycles of abuse.
You'll be able to describe how emotional abuse, isolation, intimidation, stalking, and coercive behavior typically develop over time, and distinguish between ordinary discomfort, suspicious behavior, and genuinely unsafe situations — moving from passive awareness into active pattern recognition. We'll also touch on the legal protections available to you, including how court injunctions work.
Boundaries you can actually hold.
You'll practice setting and maintaining boundaries in your personal and professional life — ending unsafe relationships, placing safety above politeness, responding to misogynistic comments, standing up for yourself at work, and recognizing when discomfort is a warning sign rather than something to push past.

Agenda
Day One - Saturday
Foundations and Body-Based Safety
The day starts at a cozy Southern Oregon farm with coffee, snacks, an opening circle, and group agreements for the weekend. From there, we move through grooming and abuse patterns, trafficking awareness, cycles of abuse, relationship red flags, stalking, and divorce — grounded in the reality that women are more likely to be harmed by someone they know than a stranger.
Lunch is provided. Catered by Chef Marce
After lunch and a session on personal discernment, we head to a Medford BJJ academy for hands-on instruction with a female instructor: technique, guided practice, and live drilling in foundational self-defense.
Day Two - Sunday
Firearms Safety and Integration
We start at the range with a safety briefing, then move through firearm parts, safe handling, loading, unloading, racking, stance, and trigger control. Target practice, hand-eye coordination drills, and more will be followed by a conversation on firearms safety in the context of domestic violence and active-shooter awareness.
Lunch is provided. Catered by Chef Marce
Back at the farm, we close the weekend with a debrief, workbook reflection, boundary-setting and change-planning, and community assignments to carry your plan forward.
Two weeks later, we gather again for a happy-hour-style reconnection at the farm to celebrate wins, talk through what's changed, support each other through next steps in progress, and keep the cohort connected.
Disruptor Defense is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and survivor-informed from the ground up.
Every session opens with a group agreement and trauma-informed safety guidelines, so everyone knows what to expect before we start. Nothing in the weekend requires you to disclose your history. The pace stays predictable: you'll know what's coming before it happens, and you always have room to step back, modify, or sit out a piece of the physical work with an emphasis on self-care.
This program is framed around strength, not fear. We don't use shame or panic to make a point, and we don't ask you to relive anything you're not ready to talk about. What we do ask is that you show up willing to learn, reflect, and take action.
